Just talked to DH he is at home...... says 1 more button quail.......and 1 coturnix hatching now.

2 more cotunrix hatched. 1 had blood in the egg with it.... it is just laying in bator... I'm going to leave it in there for a while to see how it does.

Maybe I will have some more buttons tomorrow

and maybe even my one golden coturnix in there....

I will post updated pics this weekend. I've had a busy couple of weeks! Sheww! We have had a couple of things happen with them. 2 of my GOLDEN button quail committed suicide. Then we had to cull 1 of each button and coturnix. But I'm button hooked I think! I've gotta get better living conditions for my coturnix this weekend.

What did they do to commit suicide?

One of my conrurnix 3 week old baby commited suicide too yesterday , well really my fault, i switched them to another brodder and did not cover it, but it was high so i really did not think it would fly out alreday, well i was the stupid one, dahhh to me.

any way, hubby went upstairs and found a not so pleasent site on our bed. eaither the dog found the quail out rooming or the cat did.
i felt so bad and heart broken.​

So, I'm assuming their suicide was also my fault. I didn't think they were able to fly yet, so I didn't have a lid or anything over the aquarium they are in.

But it looks like they flew up and landed straight down on the ground on either side of the aquarium. The were gorgeous goldens!!!! It broke my heart... and then I called my DH a BAD BABY SITTER!

I need to get ya'll to tell me what colors I have.... They are getting so pretty. I'm spoiling the buttons rotten so far. I raise mealworms and they recently had a HUGE hatch and I have a couple thousand itty bitty ones in the box. So the buttons
have been getting treats! They are still not sure if they like me or not.
