My first quail hatch attempt. Update!

Pips are good! Woot! I hope the hatch goes well!

I had a few that pipped and waited 24 hours before popping out in 30 seconds flat. LOL.

OK, from pip to hatch to wet/dry in the brooder. It appears I have myself 13 healthy & rambunctious little sprouts to spoil. Adorable....and do they move fast.
They are the smallest peeps I've ever had the pleasure of hatching.

If you think those are small, you should try buttons

They are about half the size of coturnix babies

Might have to try myself some buttons come spring time. Now that I have these under my belt it's either them or Emus!

Yes, the night of my last hatch I got up at 3am to see NOTHING going on. I went to the bathroom and had a good cry (lol) and when I checked again before going back to bed I had 3 babies. All within 5 minutes. Hahaha.
