So, this is my first attempt at this. I received an ornament from an ornie exchange. It was a covered, glass ball, it's really pretty...
Then all of a sudden, the light bulb goes off...I have a 1/2 bushel of spinner gourds, these are small one. So, I decided to try this on them. As you can see I burnt the whitish one. That's why there's a spot ... I used my handy dandy dremel to get the burnt off. I'm going to add some more clay to it and bake again. I also covered pieces of gourd to make a couple of slides (necklaces)
I have not sanded them yet, i don't have wet sandpaper. and i haven't put a finish on them yet. or drilled any holes to hang.
Does anyone do caning? I'd love to see some pics, all hints, tips are welcomed.
