My first time ever with ducks & chickens!

Hello I just joined today & brand new adventure f

Sad part is last year my fiancee lost his small dairy farm of 23 years. operating costs of farm & low milk prices he just couldnt make it work.

Positives - On the upside though a small hobby farm is on the way!! Going to have some ducks & chickens & later on a few pigs & steers!

No chickens or ducks as of yet but theyll be coming very soon! I love this site Everyone Shares ideas, experiences,tips & knowledge & connecting with others in duck & chicken lovers community is the way to go!

Ducks! Not sure why but Ive just been drawn to ducks more than chickens. Either way I have heart for both, animals in general. I have no idea what breed ducks I want to get hoping reading posts on here will give ne idea on which way to go.

I was happy to come across this site just by google search...
Ducks will be in backyard but guess chickens wont be in "backyard" ..they'll be but right down the way in a barn my fiancees setting up for them!

I love biking & going to nature preserves & spending time with family & friends!

Looking forward to this new adventure & being part of backyardchickens!
