Hi all!

This is my first post and my first time hatching duck eggs or any egg at all.

I found this duck egg abandoned, he was a little scratched up when I found him.
I have a homemade incubator that stays pretty consistently around 99-100 and the humidity is at around 40-50%

The air cell looks good for day 23 I think.
I am just worried because I haven't seen any movement and I havnt seen any big distinct veins, I see some small veins along the edges when I look closely in person but I when I look up candling photos all the eggs have these very distinct large veins...Could it be my flashlight isn't good enough?

The embryo or mass in the egg doesnt look as big as it should be by this point too, hes got a lot of clear space left

I am just looking for some advice if you think hes alive in there or not, I would be so grateful for any advice

:welcome Day 23? I don't think that is a viable egg.
Thank you,
Yeah I think I've just been really holding out hope...the egg doesn't smell or anything so I thought he could still have a chance. I can defiantly see very small spider veins on the edges of the dark mass, can they still have veins and not be viable?
