I have plugged in my Genesis 1500 with the automatic egg turner (thanks to lovely folks here who suggested it). I just put my EE eggs from Harley's Girl in, with a few of my own flock's eggs. Temps are at 100 degrees and there is water in the C tray.

Anything else to do but wait?

IT IS SO EXCITING! HOW DO YOU ALL STAND THE WAIT????

Good luck, DC!

I had so much humidity using the c tray, I had to take out all the water until the last 3 days and dry incubated. I had a great hatch with my marans, and not as great with my Ameraucanas.

Do you have a hygrometer?

Yup, waiting is brutal!!!!!!!!!!

A hygrometer tells you what the humidity is. You can buy them at pet store or Wal-mart. Where you are at, you may, or may not need to add water to your incubator to reach the right humidity. Where I live, it's a must.

It is very dry where I live, and we have very little humidity. I put water in the C part to start with. I will try to get a hygrometer this weekend to keep track. Thanks for the info!

PS I love BYC folks
