One of my silkies - she is 6 1/2 months old (the entire flock is the same age), became broody. Thanks to everyone on this website and several youtubes I have watched, I was able to recognize what was happening. Tonight, I took her off her egg, of course removed her egg, and put her on to roost with her flock....I had to do this 4-times, as she went back to the nesting box 4-times. She has now stayed roosted for over 2-hours. Hooray. Thank you to this group and to one of my favorite chicken youtubers, Fiona at English Country Life.
