First of all I have to thank everyone here for all your posts and info. This has made my first experience more enjoyable. So I received 24 assorted eggs in the mail on 4/15. Not one broken and I put them in my new Brinsea eco 20 on 4/15. I have been following manufacturers directions so far and temp has stayed constant. I have been turning eggs 5 times a day. So everything seems to be going fine I just have a few questions. So I candled on day 9 and removed 6 eggs. 5 were clear and one had a blood ring. I candled today and removed 6 more eggs 3 were clear 2 just started to develop and one developed to day 6 at my best guess. So what I am curious about is the eggs that are clear when I broke them open the yolk did not stay intact. The contents seemed all mixed together. Does this mean they are not fertile? All arrived together in the same box. Can some eggs get scrambled and not others? The rest of my eggs seem to be developing. I can hardly wait to see how my hatch turns out. I will post pics of my chicks after hatch. Good luck hatching everyone. This is so addicting.

Thanks kathyinmo. I love to get as much info as I can. thanks again for responding.

I think I want to ask my question differently. If an egg is infertile and it has been in the incubator for 9 days should the yolk still be intact. My eggs when cracked open were all mixed together. I am pretty sure they were not fertilized. So is it possible the eggs were handled roughly during shipping? If that is the case wouldn't all the eggs not developed?
