My first turkey, have some questions

I think as far as they knew it was just a Bronze Turkey -.-... I hope its not a BBB though, as far as I've heard they only have about a two year life span and this turkey is strictly a pet, not for eating :/. It was from a feed store though and I paid about 11 bucks. Thanks for the input though.

We paid about $7.50 for ours which I think is fair, $11 dollar is a lil' steep, because we know they mostly come from a hatchery. JMO
We've also decided to go ahead a try to find a friend for our turkey, I know now that turkeys are extremely social and I don't want ours to be lonely. Really looking for at the BR they are beautiful birds and I'm still having a hard time accepting that ours is a "meat" bird .
