The one that sucessfully hatched is a golden (which when I bought these eggs I got a golden from the hatch too it must be a mix in the genetics because a "red golden" is a red mixed witha golden (hence the name) so I ASSUME that's why I end up getting just straight goldens. Hopefully teh more I hatch the more odds will up of me getting a RED golden instead of just a golden

The other one I had to assist it thanks to my INCUBATOR wafer finanlly going!!!

so it was stuck in the shell... red tuxedo...NICELY marked... and it doesn't look good at all it was fully absorbed and ready to hatch it just couldn't. It's toes are twisted and smashed from being in one position too long and it doesn't even have energy to open it's eyes. SO! You betcha I'm a lil bummed! I had been waiting for the hens to lay for weeks and finnally they do and my first results are blah! LOL! I hope all of you that have and or ARE getting my assortment eggs have better luck than me and get some nice beauties!

If I were you, if you want to breed for reds and you only hatch goldens from the red eggs (iim sure you wont but if you do) I'd keep them, and breed them to either a brown or an A & M and I'm thinking that you may be able to get the other colors out (red and red golden). If you're willing to work for it.

the sire of the red eggs is an A & M roo, since none of my reds are roos, so red golden to A & M gives you tuxedo, but you'll also get some reds and browns just like I Did from the original red eggs I recieved. A & M helps express other genes since it's recessive to a lot. Anywho... just a tidbit of info there for anyone hoping for reds from me. Please dont be disapointed by the goldens if you get any from the red eggs, I think they most deffinatly carry the red gene.

I'm holding on to my goldens from teh red eggs assuming they carry the red gene.

Well im rambling... ihope the red tuxedo makes it but im not holding out hope poor lil crippled thing. Why is it always the one you want to make it doesn't and the one you dont really mind if you do or dont is spunky and fine

LOL! The golden is very cute though I'll give it that

Well of course it's cute, it is a quailie-poo after all!! They are adorable when they are babies!!

If you have any baby vitamins, I would give the one some of that. And keep it on wire for a few days, that will help straighten out its toes. Hope the little 'girl' (

) pulls out of it!!
