I pulled my broody off her unfertilized eggs to get some food and a dust bath. It was free range time and my broody started dust-bathing immediately. As soon as her flock-mates saw her from across the yard they all sprinted and starting bathing with her. The amber colored chicken is the broody

That is very precious. I had the same thing with my broody Orpington. She was on a regular feeding schedule and we'd pull her off the eggs once a day to eat and mingle. She loved being out with the flock, until her mommy instincts forced her to run back to her nest, haha. She was a wonderful mother three.
