Hi,
I'm taking advantage of a new ordinance passed in my town, allowing me to raise a maximum of 6 chickens in city limits.
I was going to go w/ 4 but the minumum order was 6 so I have 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Bard Rocks and 2 Golden Comets. They're beautiful.
I've always lived in a small city but raising farm animals is something I always thought would be fun. It's been a lot of work getting the coop built but I'm glad I did it.
The chicks are 2 weeks old now and seem to be doing fine. I do have one question. One is starting to look a little scrufty. She prunes a lot. The others prune as well but they don't look as scrufty. Is this normal for the growth of new feathers? They all seem to get along and don't peck each other.
