My flock

Here are some pictures of my mixed flock. All are 15 weeks. I have 2 ISA Browns, 2 Speckled Sussex, 3 Golden Laced Wyandonettes, and 5 Asian Blacks.

Some of the Asian Blacks have really red wattles and combs. Will they be earlier layers? This is my first flock.

Some of the Asian Blacks have really red wattles and combs. Will they be earlier layers? This is my first flock.

When wattles and combs get redder, that can be one sign that laying is closer. They might also squat and/or check out the nesting boxes.

They aren't interested in the nesting boxes yet, and I haven't seen squatting. Good to know.
