I'd just like to talk about my chickens and my story so here I go. My name is Allie, I've always loved farm animals but I've never really been able to keep them in my area. I used to live in Missouri in the woods at 7 years and I got my first chickens :) I was so excited I played with them all day. I knew absolutely nothing about chickens, my first 2 died of sickness and one died because it's head was stuck in the cage in under one week and later the rest were eaten by raccoons and a snake. I was so devastated and I just never thought about having chickens again, until I moved here in Louisiana. Now I have 4 roosters and 19 hens. When my roosters mature I'm hoping to get some baby chicks in the spring <3

Roosters can handle 10 hens, if you have much less for each of them, the hens will be severely overbred and injured. Or you could rehome two of the roosters.

Turns out I only had 3 roosters I realized my black rooster was actually a hen with very pretty tail feathers, and my other 3 roosters are only game bantams they won't get too close to my girls because their much bigger
