My friends eggs hatching!

5 of the 6 eggs from my friends flock hatched today they are mixed flock but he has speckled Sussex, black jersey giant, sapphire gem, RIR and I think a silver laced wyandotte.. roos are varied and probably mixed but these little red babies make me a little excited that they may have speckled Sussex in them! Adorable none the less all 5 and look forward to number six by tomorrow I hope.. the pictures make the red ones look lighter then they are.. one has chipmunk look

My hatch rate has been the best with this incubator than with my Kebonnixs 12-egg. I get about a 70-ish percent hatch rate, which is not the best, but still not that bad. I do not use an extra hygrometer, but I don’t think that the built-in one is very far off. I would definitely recommend this one to anybody looking for a good quality, reliable table-top style incubator. Are you considering getting one?

My 5th hatch this year but my first year doing it! He said I could keep these ones but he might want me to incubate a bunch for him.. I have my fingers crossed as well!

I dont use an extra hygrometer.. had really great hatch rate tho.. not sure I will do more this year so after the incubator sitting til next spring I'm thinking I should get one next year to check its accuracy.. hatch 1, 15 out of 18.. 1 unfert.. 2nd hatch 7 out of 15.. I can't remember how many werent fert.. a few quitters but I had issues with my humidy.. 3rd hatch 15 out of 18 lol 2 unfert.. dry hatch 4th was shipped eggs.. got 7 from them out of 16.. one was malpositioned when I opened it on day 23.. not breathing, yolk absorbed but no internal pip.. mostly had scrambled and 2 actually quit.. this hatch was number 5.. started with 8 .. 1 unfert.. 1 quitter early on.. I'm hoping this last one isn't a late quitter
