My gals do make me laugh 😃

So I have two coops that meet in one big run for my 13 gals but with broodys etc can get quite frustrating for others that want to lay. So I brought 4 plastic boxes to make more nesting space so now both coops each have a large shelf and 2 nest boxes. We'll they went to investigate and mo decided to plonk herself down in between boxes rather then in with all my hard work lol. Know take time to get used to it just made me laugh so thought I'd share

Looks like Mo and Ethel have found their own happy place!

I have three hens in a coop that had one plastic nest box and everybody wanted to crowd into it. So, I added a second identical container. Nope, nobody has EVER used that one. Chickens!

Oh I know. I'm so glad I went to the trouble of building 4 nest boxes when they all use 1. The other day there were 3 girls trying to lay on THE box. Needless to say I got a broken egg that day.

That space has walls just like the other 2. Makes perfect sense.

The funniest thing is the gals.were sitting further back so one or more chickens has made the effort to move them around and get a comftable neat nest quite clever really have to say

It seems frustrating but what you did worked. They are laying eggs in a nest and have other options if they need them. Great job by you!
