Hi everyone,
I finally got my coop and run made with the help of my best friends. It took us about a day and a half to build. I was limited on space so we decided to utilize the garage as the coop to maximize the space that we did have. The coop itself is 5'x7' (35 square feet) and the run is about 85 square feet in floor space. We went with chicken wire for the run due to the relative lack of predators (the occasional feral cat that my dogs really take care of and Red Tail Hawks). I'm really happy with the way that it turned out. All we need to do is paint it and then it's all finished. Color suggestions for the inside are welcome!

Now I just need my 8 girls to come in the mail in April.

Do you ever keep your car in the garage? If so, there is risk to the birds from car fumes.

Funny thing is that around here nobody ever uses their garage for cars. Storage or a workshop seems more common. Heck, my grandfather uses his as a workshop and storage and then put a carport beside it for his car...

But yeah, I wouldn't want to house living creatures in there if the cars sleep there too.
