My girls are growing up!

Well I was outside watching my ducks and was surprised when My 4 1/2 month old duck got down into the mating positon! of course once she did it the other three followed. Now Ive seen 6 of my girls do that! I have one drake - but he is nine and I guess he doesnt see breeding as important

I think I need to find a boy.

Shouldnt they be laying soon too? They were born around April 20th

Yeah, time for a new boy to take care of the ladies. The "mature gentleman" has earned his retirement.

Problem is ive been looking for a drake for a month or two now

My Ling Ling (Runner duck) does this one behavior where she kinda lays down and squeaks at me. I just thought she was waiting for me to pet her.

Could this mean she's ready to start laying, or rather be mated with?

They lay on their stomachs somewhat and spread their wings by their sides -not extended though, and their tail feathers up.. Ill try and get a picture.

Well, I have this huge problem of leaving out words. I'm always having to go back and edit in the missing word...
