My girls are starting to lay eggs, but not in the nesting boxes!!!!!!!

Well, my girls started laying eggs, one has ben laying for about a month now and now theres another one starting also, but they arent using the nesting boxes. Is there any tricks to get them using the boxes? Also the one that has been laying for about a month, her eggs are still small, is that a sign of not eating right?

I put fake eggs in the nesting boxes. That seemed to work for us. Size generally gets bigger over time, but some hens might always lay smaller eggs. It's very individual.

I have roll out nests for the eggs and ever since I got my new litter of pullets, they have been laying in the corner rather than in the nests and I can't put eggs in since they just roll down. I don't know how to get them to lay in the them with the rest of the hens. I'm gonna block the corner off and see if that helps.
