Since I only have two at the moment, I have been buying my layer feed at the Orshelns, becuz you have a choice of buying a big bag, or scoops in baggies of your own making. I believe the brand is Country Pride.

My have switched over gradually and everything, but they JUST arent eating this stuff like they should and act so hungry all the time. They never acted this hungry when they were on the chick or grower feed. They LOVE that by the way. I think they were even picking out the grower from the layer, if thats possible.

I have heard Dumor brand is usually good, and most folks' girls like it, but here all they sell it in is 50 lb bags. I cant deal with a 50 lb bag, heck I cant even LIFT a 50 lb bag! And I am afraid it would go bad before they ate it.

So....any ideas? I am a bit worried at they are eating it SOME, but not like they should, nothing like they were before I switched.

I've used dumor before but didn't like the crumbles. I switched to a different brand and in the pellet form. I also mix in double rolled oat groats,a little scratch grain, & bird seed. They love it and everything it gone by the evening not a drop is left over.

Had to look up what brand I buy now its Purina Layena Sunfresh Recipe

I've used Dumor before. My hens ate it but they didn't like it. They loved Southern states laying mash but I can't get since the SS around here closed. Right now I'm feeding them Bartletts "Complete Egg Ration" and they love it.
