but the nesting boxes!! I don't know if this is some of my new layers or the girls are just being silly!! But I've found eggs underneath the nesting boxes, and lots in the run. Crazy girls!! I am still getting some in the boxes too.

Have you tried putting dummy eggs in the nesting boxes? Sometimes it takes a long while for them to catch on.

Are the roosts higher than the nests ? If not, that can contribute. Did you put golf balls in each nest ? It can help to decoy them to the nest. You may have to confine them to coop only for say, a week to imprint on them where to lay. Also do put some nests on the floor. I have two there and have so far seen one egg there since they began to lay in Oct.

My daughter lives very near to you just north of Noblesville and just west of the reservoir. She is a sub teacher there and they really like the area. We do too.
