My girls were attacked by something - please help!

Last night my girls were attacked (probably by a cat) but Im not sure. One of them has lost a lot of feathers, almost all her tail feathers are gone and she is down to bare skin on her back. The skin is broken in a couple of places and Im concerned about her getting an infection. How do I treat her wounds? And will her feathers grow back?

Gently wash the area. I used warm water and some gentle baby shampoo. Dry the area thoroughly. Apply a triple antibiotic ointment to the area. Neosporine is what I used. Dont use anything on them that ends in "caine." From my understanding that is toxic to chickens. I used neosporin for a day then when I cleaned the area again I used Blu-Kote. Blue-Kote is a antiseptic/anti-fungal. It turns the skin purple. Re-apply the blu-kote every few days as needed. Keep and eye on her if you put her back with the others because they tend to peck at injuries. The Blu-Kote can help with that also. The feathers should start growning back as shes healing. Hope this helps.
