geez I am so sorry to hear this. How shocking it must have been for you. Now you have the added stress of waiting on blood tests. I hope everything goes OK. I will say some prayers for you and your baby.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Nigi. People are such idiots.

Did your Nigi pass her placenta yet? If not, can you give her Oxytocin? We do that in alpacas to help them pass their placenta if it hasn't passed in 4 hours. If they do use Oxytocin in goats, i would have no idea what the dosage is for them.

I hope your NIgi is disease free and ok after all of this!

Thanks everyone. I think she passed the placenta..not sure though..
the little bit that was hanging out of her came out..but it seemed so small..
but..shes very small.. So, maybe its normal.. I'll be sure to keep a close eye on her..

Awww I'm so sorry! That person sounds horrible, how irresponsible. When I took my goats to the vet the other day (to fix a bad disbudding which had been done by a first-time breeder) the vet was telling me about the horrible things she'd seen... for instance, the person who let a scur grow into the goat's own cheek (which made a large, infected wound) before coming into the vet's office... it's crazy how little care people take of their animals!

And then, of course, yesterday someone "did me a favor" by putting one of my doelings in with my buckling. GAHH! She was only in there for a few hours before I found out, and I'm pretty sure she wasn't in heat (and he hasn't shown any sign of being bucky yet anyway)... but still, what you described is one of my nightmares! Poor little babies are way too young to be having babies themselves.

Anyway, glad your little girl is back home with a good Momma who'll take good care of her. Hugs to you!
