Bang the feed can or pail, scoop or what ever you use to feed with. Their ears are trained to that sound.

So sorry to hear about what happened. It's difficult to figure out. Has there been any updates on the situation?

if it were a predator surely there would have been some sort of evidence like blood and/or feathers. Also could one predator really take out nearly 2 dozen large birds by themselves with no sign of struggle??

Raccoons could. Look for tracks? Or coyotes..any marks or bite marks or scratches on doors? Only thing that will keep out most predators is electric hot wire (animal charger and wire strung 6" around the bottom and higher also.... If they cam once and got something, they will check in later for more food....unless you hotwire and fence... Pens should be a Ft. Knox... everything comes out at night to find food, and they can smell them...
