My goose laid two eggs within an hour!

It hasn't laid any eggs for over a week, and then suddenly yesterday afternoon it laid one on the porch. An hour later there's another smaller egg on the lawn.

Both eggs were warm and almost shellless, and the goose had been running around in the yard the whole day, so I'm sure they were both laid within that hour. Isn't that incredible?

Do you give your goose oyster shells? If she is laying leather eggs, shell-less or near shell-less, she needs more calcium in her diet.

I just offer oyster shell free choice and my geese eat what they need. Egg shells are super strong.
