the gosling that is now two days old is pecking at the new gosling that hatched kast night. I put the second one in the brooder this morning and watched them for a while. Then seperated them. I have tried two more times but the older one still pecks at the toes of the younger. It must hurt because of course the baby cries and then mom (me) comes a running and seperates them again. This is too much like my own kids!!

Exactly. Give it something else - preferably grass - to nibble on. Goslings will nibble. It's not being mean, it's just trying to figure out what's good to eat.​
