So my Grandmother has noticed in the past few days a change of attitude in her dog, keep in mind this dog is incredibly overweight and I have tried to get my Grandmother to monitor her food and exercise her, but my Grandmother spoils her very much. According to my grandmother for the past few days Winky has not been her usual self. She said that she hasn’t been eating much and has even vomited. I have been searching for answers and I’m down to her either being pregnant, or having food poisoning because my Grandmother feeds her table scraps instead of dog food. I’m not sure on how old her dog is, I think she is about 3 or 4 I’m not sure, she is a rat terrier mix. She is such a sweet dog, but because of the neighborhood my grandmother lives in she must be kept on a line in the yard, my grandmother loves her to bits she just spoils her a lot. If it gets really bad I’m sure she will take her to the vet, but for now she just wants to see if it is something she can fix the old fashioned way😉

It sounds like a medical emergency. She needs a vet urgently. If she is unspayed, she could have something called a pyometra that can kill her quickly. I hope your grandmother does not delay.
Oh dear! Our vet isn’t open on Sundays but they will be tomorrow.

She needs to get to the vet soon.

And a proper diet is extremely important. No more table scraps, no treats, just dog kibble. And a good brand too.
It will be hard since the kibble w9nt be near as good as table scraps, but if shes hungry she'll eat. Don't put anything on it or it will just make it harder.
And don't free feed.
She'll need daily exercise too. A walk every day, along with fetch.

She could have just eaten something that messed up her stomach. Not eating will make her throw up too.

Hope this helps, and I hope she feels better soon

I hope so too! Thank you, she is a sweet heart. I’ve tried to talk to my grandmother about diet but she is more than a little stubborn.

Update on Winky: She was doing a whole lot better today according to my Grandmother she was eating and acting more perky. I’m still kinda worried she might be pregnant but only time will tell, and if she is it wasn’t on purpose. Anyway I think also she might have just ate something that upset her stomach, besides all that I’m relived that she is doing better!
