Hi all, have been away from the board for several months now due to current circumstances but wanted to take a few minutes to update you on my Grandson, Weston, who I wrote about back in Dec. Remember my last report was that the Doc told us there was absolutely no hope for recovery, or if he survived he would remain in a perpetually vegetative state.

Well, they were absolutely wrong!!!!! Today he speaks with no impediment, his learning processes are not noticably impaired, and we are told he will probably walk out of the rehab hospital under his own power in about a month!!! We feel we have truly been blessed beyond what we ever expected. Thank you all for your encouragement in the realy dark days. Jehovah is indeed good!

Great! I have been wondering how he is doing! I'm so glad the doctors were so wrong and he is making such a great recovery.

Fabulous news! It's amazing how many times you hear a doctor give grim news only to be wrong.

I'm sure your family is thrilled. Congratulations !!

Great news. So happy for you and your family. Drs don't know everything and they are not in charge, they like to think they are but only God can heal like that. Congrats to you and hug that grandson extra close for us.

doctors are usually wrong. My great grandma is 98 years old. She had to have her leg amputated because there was no blood flow. The doc said if she leaves the leg on she will die in a few days and if its amputated she will most likely pass away within a few hours. That was the year before last year. She is still here with us! Its great that your son is doing well. Wish him lots of luck for me

Doctors try to prepare families for the worst. They believe in miracles, the same as everyone else but the human spirit and prayer will sometimes outweigh the scientific facts. Believe me docs and us nurses are very happy when a patient makes a miraculous recovery. God had other plans for him. I'm so happy for your family.
