Well, I did it again. LOL Monday, I gave away one of my Golden Sebright Roosters. I had 2 and only 1 hen. He's now living on an awesome wild Mustang rescue farm. My two remaining Golden Sebrights are very happy together. I do have plans on finding a couple more hens for him.
BUT, TODAY, in my search for them, I found 4 beautiful Bantam Brahmas and brought them home. No photos yet, sorry, but I will have photos tomorrow in daylight. I have them in quarantine and want to keep an eye on them, before the introduction into the big flock and coop. Looks like we have one Buff and two dark. The 4th is black but has some brown tint also in the feathers on the neck and back. They are all definitely pullets.
Pictures to come as I hope to figure out what that 4th one is. It just might be that they all are cross mixed.
In the meantime, enjoy this picture of what we thought was a Bantam, and believe to be a Jersey Giant hen. She has not started laying yet but should be soon. She is now 23 weeks old. Her "sister", who we purchased at the same time is definitely an Australorp.
