What do you think of my guinea coop??? I made them up on the paint thing on the computer.

This one would be for my breeding flock:

This would be for my free range flock in the winter:

Love that you have thought about adding an area for incubating.

That's a lot of space for a lot of guineas. How are you going to take the noise?

I had 3 a few years ago, they never shut up. I know they are known for being the watchdogs but really, I didn't expect an all out red alert every time a robin flew over.

lol I only have 15 right now...I am going to get a lot more next year. I hatch about 150 keets this past year and hope to do about 400 next year.
I don't mind the noise..I know some people can't stand it but it just doesn't bother me.

All of the guineas I have seen nearby have all been free ranging guineas without housing they sleep in the trees, and are plenty wild. Most of them don't get fed, they all just forage.

Yeah, when we had guineas a long time ago that's what we did. We just bought some and penned them for a while then turned them out.
The reason that I don't do that now is because I breed them, hatch the eggs, and sell the keets, and since I count on that money I can't afford to lose any of my hens; so that is why I would have a coop for my breeding flocks.
The reason that I have a coop for my free range flock is for the winter. Because there is nothing for them to really eat in the winter, such as ticks, (the main reason I have a free range flock) and the only thing they can do is get eaten... so in the winter I just go ahead and put them up so none of them get gone.

Finally someone of similar age with dreams as big as mine

im envious of you. I coould never figure out how to do plans on the computer. So i just draw them by hand and end up with crooked lines

if ever I have guineas that I breed like you do, I would for sure want it to look at least half as good as that. Way to set the bar high.
