my guinea fowl is setting

She is a great mother and hatches about 12, trouble is that last year it rained and although she tried to keep them warm they got cold and died. This year I want to take them off her when they hatch and do the rearing myself. Problem I have is I don't know what I need to do for them.
Was going to get a heat lamp and put them in a box with chick feed and water, Not sure of temp or how long I need to do this. I just cant bear the thought they will die if I don't do anything.

Treat them exactly like baby chickesn, and there are lots of pages here on this site (and the rest of the internet) about how to raise them, so no need to repeat that all here.

Another great source is the hatchery websites. They all have detailed instructions for their customers, read a few and you'll know plenty.

Use a heat lamp set to keep the temperature about 90° F after hatch. Lower temperature by 5° F each week. Use turkey or game bird starter with a protein content of 26% or higher. Of course there is also the trick of placing marbles in the water to prevent them from getting in and drowning.

Well I went and got all the things needed to raise my keets and then we had a huge storm and she just left the eggs.
At least I have all the things needed for next year now.
