Plus Snakes of all kinds will go for water too. Here I am the only water source for about thirty acres. We put out a bowl of water for the wild life away from the house so they dont come in the animal pens so much. Doesnt keep the occasional rabbit from drowning in the horse trough but it helps some. My solution for that is to keep the water tanks full so if they do fall in they can get back out when they reach the lip.
