We have 9 guineas that are 4 months old. They have been raised with our chickens since both were chicks/keets. We have cut an opening about 7 ft high for them to fly out of but apparently this is not working! We have a large open air coop and try not to let our chickens out, hence no ground level door. We're fist timers with any birds so please be kind but informative!! Suggestions? Thanks 😊

We put our first door at the end of a chicken tunnel or Chunnel. Training them to use that was a real challenge. Do you have a picture of your door? Once they do leave, I’m guessing that it will be tough to train them to re-enter that door. If you could put some temporary fencing up to keep them near the door, that should help with the re-entry training...

Guineas don't really understand how fences work it can take them some time. Is there a way to put a perch at the opening? Also I would try taking a few out to entice the others to figure it out.
