This is Horatio Chanceler rooster I was reading the comments on this breed I live in Saskatchewan where our winters are long and cold and our summers are hot and humid I have him and 2 hens of the same breed and they are good happy friendly as can be whether it be really hot or really cold also when we had 5 hens during the summer we got 28 eggs per week awesome birds !!! I really would suggest them to anyone. I guess the downside is I free range them almost all the time but we live in the country so if they have to be left I like to keep them in a extremely large fenced area they fly over a 7 1/2' fence!!
