My hatch date got moved back a month :(

I just went from a mid-March estimate to 4/23 booked (it's a local source, I'm picking them up as newly-hatched on a Saturday). And yes, that's the day before Easter! Not thrilled to have to wait EVEN LONGER but I'm working on convincing myself that it's for the best since we'll be past the last frost date (easier to brood in a coop when it's not freezing anymore, right?) and the kids will be tickled over getting real chicks for Easter.

Until then, you're all just killing me with the adorable baby chick pix!

I understand where you are coming from... I had to move to my second pick for hatch dates to be able to get all the breeds I wanted in my spring order, but I'm only talking tens days more.

I think it will be worth the wait.

I have chick fever! So I enjoy the pics.

Hang in there. Local sources are good for newly hatched. It will be such a fun ride home.
