Humidity was good. Kept it at 40 until day 18. Then raised it up to 70 (which is what I keep it at for hatch). I've done this on 2 other hatches this year and they went perfectly.
Aircell on day 18 was great. Just how it should be.
They were kept in egg cartons til day 18. Small end down as always. Then laid on their side. Nobody had bacteria. Just was no reason for it that was obvious. My best guesses are either egg shells were abnormally hard, or chicks weren't strong/internal issues.
Makes me sad. The rooster that fathered those eggs was butchered. He was so beautiful. I was hoping for hens from them. Just wanted one. Ohwell though. I'm happy with the girls from my other two hatches this year.
