My first four Rhode Island Red chicks from my breeding are now home with me.
And Fred has 11 Nelson and some Kittle eggs to hatch for me.
And my Nelson hen to add to his to make a mating trio instead of just his hen to his cockerel. (little brother of mine) I'll get some from that grouping too.
Since it turned cool and damp...and they aren't completely feathered I am keeping them indoors for two weeks. Scored a melon box at meijers when I got my groceries.
So the box is on the dining room table with a hardware screen over it to keep my cats from getting in!
They have eaten, found the water and looked at the grass plug and bathed in the litter!! All is calm and they are resting now. We will see how first night here goes and when I find my camera I promise to attempt photos. One has found the wood I poked from side to side holes and is up roosting! Other three are stretched out in liter.
