My hatching experience

We have had 3 babies hatch 2 were killed by either other hens or my rooster. Once I saw this once the little one was hatched I moved my border hen and baby to my house in a crate. She has 3 more eggs that look like they will hatch any day. First time and no incubator just my hen.

Thanks she is my sweet girl. The babies are leghorns and bantam rooster. Her baby didn't survive

Agreed! Beautiful hen, and great job as a first timer. I do recommend moving her out with the eggs as soon as you see 1 (or more) start pipping, so that no one can get to her and bother her.
