I don't know if most of you remember that I got two muscovies back in July. One was a chocolate and the other was white, which many said would come out like a pied. Then the neighbors dog got the chocolate scovie when they were just 2- 3 weeks old. So I went back to the same lady and got two more ( one chocolate and one "blue") so my one white scovie wouldn't be lonely. Now at about 5 1/2 months old WOW have they changed and they look like different ducks! Here are some pics.

The first two we got. We were going to name them Ying and Yang since they were so close.
First night home (1 and 2 days old)

(almost 2 weeks old)

Then we lost the chocolate scovie.

So I went and got two more.

We then named the white one Conan. Here he was and the two new additions. The chocolate was from the same hatch as the ducklings we lost and the other one was from a new hatch and was only 4-5 days old.

The new chocolate (2 1/2 weeks old)

The new "blue" (1 week old) she looks like a scovie

Conan now at 2 1/2 weeks he is getting some white

He is almost black in the sun

Missy (the chocolate, she just looks so petite and perfect)

The Mutt (she ended up being a mutt 1/2 scovie and 1/2 pekin)

Here are the two boys....Conan is figuring out he is almost three times the size of Ebony

I forgot to add. I know that The Mutt has angel wing. We wrapped and wrapped that wing forever. We started when it was only the tip pointing out then in a matter of days the entire wing was like that. We kept the wing wrapped for a week and a half, changing it everyday because is could get it off if it wasn't new tape everyday. Then we would keep the wrap off and with in days the wing would bend back out. After about a month and a half my hubby said enough. She has always been skittish and having to chase and catch her everyday was making her a wreck. Now her wing is just the way it is. She flaps, swims, does everything a duck should do just with a bent wing.

Thanks! I love them...don't tell the swedish ducks but I like the scovies a lot more.

Do you think Conan is going to get any bigger, and what color would you call him?

Conan turned out to be a beautiful blue color, it looks like. Wow, they do look different. The new chocolate one turned out at about what would be expected.

I know her (the Mutt) colors are VERY pretty. I was just SOOO upset when I figured out she was a mutt. Since I paid for a scovie NOT a mutt and drove an hour and a half both ways. At least she is quiet like a scovie and not loud like a pekin.

So would I call Conan a blue now, I think most thought he was going to be barred now that I looked back threw my posts on him when he was young.

What will a chocolate and blue make? Anyone have any pics?
