Our granddaughter nearly lost a toe due to a hair tourniquet. The ER doctor used Nair to dissolve the hair because the swelling was too much and they couldn't see to cut the hair. Probably would work on a chicken too.

Once, I was cuddling with one of my chicks, who curled up into the curve of my neck. Unfortunately, my hair was down and she got tangled in it.

I have very long hair, and it was sooo hard to get her out!
