My hen ate a piece of pinecone

My 18 week old hen ate a little piece of pinecone will she be ok?

She should be just fine. Especially since I've seen chickens swallow a mouse whole with any problems.

Silly chicken! I think the grit in her gizzard will take care of a bite of pinecone. And I'm glad I don't see most of what the chickens eat while they range. I'm pretty sure I know what will happen when the cat eventually leaves one of her kills in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Well the squirrels in my yard eat the pine cones so I don't think it will hurt her.
