My hen ate a rubber band

I guess it's not an emergency but it worries me -- I saw Mary with it in her mouth I raced over to grab it from her and before I got it -- it was gone she swallowed it. Is there anything I can do -- should I worry?

Usually strange objects like this doesn't bother them. But just in case keep an eye on her for a day or two.

I am curious as to how your hen fared after eating the rubberband --- especially since my Campine hen just ate a hair-tie (rubberband). Same thing I saw it in her mouth went over to her and she swallowed it down -- do they look like worms? UGH

Yes that is what I am assuming! Of course it is my chicken that seems to be closest to laying as well so I'm really hoping it just passes through w/o complication!
