My hen crowing

Couple of weeks ago, a coyote killed my rooster. My poor olderst hen start crowing today, anybody know why?
Should I get another rooster for my hens? Thanks

if there is no rooster the hen at the top of the pecking order will sometimes beging crowing and can grow spurs, this is normal you can get a new rooster if you want but there is nothing wrong with no rooster and your hens should be fine

She has become the dominant hen.

i lost my roo recently aswell and my dominant hen began crowing too.

I believe this is called a "Henroo". I've always wondered if they still lay eggs. Please let us know.

Yes, she still lay right now. She is about 5 or 6 years old.
