My hen disappeared but

My favorite hen came up missing over a week ago, I thought the worse of course. Well she showed back up Saturday but only hung around for a couple of hours and she was gone again, my question is do some hens go off to lay and sit on their eggs? I have not a clue where she is I have searched.

That was my first thought. A friend had a Silkie disappear for over 3 weeks, only to return with several chicks following her. Lucky Silkie!

I thought the same she might have a nest hidden off somewhere and only comes back home to catch a bite to eat.

I so hope so she is my favorite hen, Thelma and I have so been missing her.

Same thing happened to me. She went broody and made a nest in a brush pile near our run.

I have searched for her with no luck, we have a big place goodness only knows where she is at.

I found her she was in one of our barns on top of the hay sitting on her eggs! So excited! #bringsmejoy

Now that I found her do I move her or just leave her alone? She first left on May 29th and I didn't see her for four days and she just showed up but didn't hang around long before she disappeared again. Do I move her and her eggs or just leave her be? She is in the hay barn and I just don't know what critters could visit there.
