In the Brooder
Hello,
Two days ago my hen Alice got bit by the jack russell.
She has no tail (the dog took all of her tail feathers), and she isn't walking or talking nearly as much.
Today when I walked into the coop (a horse stall) she was standing in the corner, with her beak facing the wall.
She seems very sad.
My grandma put some purple stuff for healing on her wounds.
The egg that my hen laid today was strangely shaped, more circular than usual.
I don't have any pictures at the moment.
Alice still has a little bit of blood on her back.
Her back has a big bald patch where the dog took her feathers.
It seems like it hurts her to go to the washroom.
She also has a lot of hind feathers/fluff missing.
Other than that she seems okay.
No deep wounds as I can see.
Is there anything I can do to help her?
Thanks,
Mya
