At first she was only limping, then these lumps appeared. Now her toes are stiff (won't bend at all) and dark. She lays down a lot and favors her left leg the most. She acts like it is too painful to walk on. She still eats and drinks, hop/flapping to the food and water. I don't know if this is contagions, but I have separated her just in case. Do any of you know what this is and whether or not I can help her??

Could they have been frozen? Was it really cold/winter where you are in the last couple of months?

No, it it very warm here and this leg thing started in the cool month (March). We did have some cold days, but I don't think it was cold enough to freeze them... Or was it? It was in the 20s and sometimes the teens, is that cold enough to freeze their legs?

Thank you every one for your help!! I also Googled frostbite on chickens' legs and it looked just like this. So I guess she's frostbitten.

I hope they don't fall off...

Yes, you were right! Her legs are starting to fall off. But I think it is giving her relief...? She is starting to be more active and is hopping around more.
