My hen is broody will the flock forget about her

hi so my d,uccle went broody last night this is her third time going broody the bigger breed hens keep mocking her off the nest to lay eggs and they always break her so I want to put her in the garage in a broody and I all ready have four day old chicks so I’m going to just put those under her will the hens forget about her in the garage should I take her out to see the hens every day and when do I take the hen and the baby’s outside this is my first time letting her have baby’s so I’m not sure how to do everything if any one has any tips that would be great thanks I really appreciate it

First of all, it's going to be risky trying to get her to adopt older chicks. They may already be too old for her to be fooled into thinking she hatched them. Also, if she's only just now going broody, her hormones wouldn't likely be in a state to take over chick rearing, hormones being carefully timed to the different stages of incubation.

Having a broody raise chicks out of sight of the flock will make it very risky for them and the broody when you do reintegrate her and her chicks. She would face needing to defend herself as well as her chicks, opening up the possibility of the chicks being injured or killed.

I urge you to take these points into consideration as you make your decision. It may be safer to brood the chicks yourself and break the broody. Meanwhile, look into creating a safe place in the coop for a future broody hen to incubate eggs safely and to rear her chicks.

You can sit her in the cage and add feed and water.Every three days you can drag her out to dustbath and mingle.In my experience they don’t forget them.
Usually the bird has to be there to keep his spot,so with it not being there to keep its spot,that’s usually is what causes issues.
Also,their probably gonna fight once the chicks are hatched running with the flock.
