My hen is broody, I think that is what they call them, she has been sitting on her nest for about 2 weeks. In the day I TAKE HER off her nest and chase her out of ther hen house, with the other hens to play, then lock the hen house door so she cannot get back in, and it ism ok, she does not lay around outside only on her nest/ Is it ok, if I continue with what I am doing/ anD WHEN WILL SHE stay odff hewr nest.

All three of my bantams have gone broody - is there anything I can do to cure them of this?
How long does this last?

Dunk their bottoms in cold water and then pen them up in a wire bottom cage. The idea is to cool of their belly area to break the brooding habit.
