My hen is eating eggs!

I have a hen who is eating eggs, I don't want to cull her, I tried mustard in the egg and that did not work.... do pinless peepers work for stopping egg eating? I dont know what to do, do you have any suggestions?

Need more info...on feed as already asked....
...and number/ages/gender of birds...
...size of coop and run in feet by feet.

Pics would be an added bonus.

Yep, answers to questions would be helpful. Can you get ahold of some ceramic eggs to put in the nests? She may get discouraged by eggs she can't peck open. But you still need to get to the bottom of why she started in the first place...

I have 8 hens,3 that are 2 1/2, 5 that are about 1 . the one I caught eating eggs was 2 1/2. their shed is 10 by 10, tim not sure exact size of the pen is, I free range them afternoons and in pen fornoons,. I

where would you find them?

Layer feed has just barely enough protein in it to support egg production. It could be that one or two are filling up on free range forage and not getting enough protein. Switching to an unmedicated starter or other higher protein feed might resolve the issue.

ok, I think I will try adding some protein, maybe sprouted lentils?

problem with switching to non-medicated feed is I feed organic and I am not sure where to get organic non-medicated feed. I will figure it out........
