Iam new to keeping hens and chickens.We rescued some ex battery hens and kepted them nexted door to our other rather large ladies they could see one another and the food was side by side.We did this for a number of weeks then put them altogether,one of our ladies hurt the new hen and has been limping since for about a week with little improvement we have now brought her inside in a dog crate to keep her warm and limit her movement.She is eating well and drinking also laying just don't know what else to do or give her,she can stand on the leg but limps when moving around.xx
